Background

About

The research direction behind PALI.

Founder

Dr.-Ing. George Pechlivanoglou

George Pechlivanoglou is a mechanical engineer and researcher with over two decades of experience spanning renewable energy systems, aerodynamics, and applied artificial intelligence. His work bridges fundamental physics with practical engineering, focusing on how computational models can capture and reason about real-world system behavior.

The PALI research direction emerges from his observation that contemporary AI systems, despite their statistical sophistication, often lack the structural understanding necessary for reliable operation in physical domains. This insight—that perception must precede prediction, and that layered models must respect physical constraints—forms the foundation of the PALI approach.
